- “1,000-Won Dinner Program” operated for one week from the 13th to the 17th during the exam period, providing meals for 250 students daily
- On the 15th, the university president and student council leaders personally distributed 400 servings of toast while communicating directly with students
- Expanded student welfare support through customized snacks and healthy cup fruit distributions
Incheon National University (President: In-jae Lee) announced that it has been operating a variety of student support programs, including snack-sharing events and the “1,000-Won Dinner Program,” from the 13th to the 17th during the midterm examination period to encourage students concentrating on their studies.
The initiative was designed to provide comprehensive welfare support for students at both the Songdo and Michuhol campuses while also fostering warm communication among members of the university community.
First, the highly popular “1,000-Won Dinner Program,” which received strong positive feedback from students last year, has returned during this midterm period. Designed to ease students’ financial burden amid rising living costs, the program offers dinner meals for just KRW 1,000 and supports a total of 250 students daily, including 225 students at the Songdo Campus and 25 students at the Michuhol Campus.
In addition, relay-style snack-sharing events were held across the campuses. On the 14th at 11:30 a.m., toast and beverage sets were distributed to 50 students at the Michuhol Campus along with messages of encouragement. On the following day at 1:00 p.m., 300 servings of fresh cup fruit were distributed at the Songdo Campus to support students’ healthy study routines during the exam period.
Particular attention was drawn to the “Midterm Snack Sharing with the President and Student Council” event held at 5:00 p.m. on the 15th. Major university officials—including the President, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Planning, and Dean of Student and Career Services—personally participated in the event. Together with student council leaders, they directly handed out toast and beverage sets to approximately 400 students, offering encouragement and listening to students’ experiences and concerns firsthand.
Min-su Kim, a student from the Division of International Trade who participated in the event, said, “The week-long 1,000-Won Dinner Program and various snack events have been a huge source of support during the exam period. It was especially meaningful to receive encouragement directly from the President.”
Dong-hyuk Kim, President of the Student Council (Department of Political Science and International Relations, Class of 2020), stated, “We prepared this relay event to provide practical comfort and opportunities for recharge to students studying day and night,” adding, “We will continue to closely cooperate with the university administration to operate various welfare programs that students can truly feel and benefit from.”
